It's the only Marriott brand on the island and it doesn't disappoint! The people were great and the room was large with a good sized balcony. Check in met the StR standard of sitting at a desk and ensuring you were well taken care of. The rooms are large but with interesting design choices. Positives are comfortable beds, high end amenities, fluffy towels and comfortable balcony furniture. The soaking tub is nice, but in the middle of the room and the bathroom is separated by two large and difficult to close doors. Not a lot of privacy. The hotel is only a few years old and in great condition. Wonderful lobby and bar with great sushi (Bermuda has surprisingly amazing sushi; almost on every menu), two good pools (family and adults-only with a hot tub) and direct beach access. Service outside was a little slow, but always friendly. The restaurant is Lina for breakfast and lunch, and then converts to BLT Steak for dinner. As Platinum members, we were given a much appreciated room upgrade, but more importantly generously included breakfast buffet for 2 every day. We brought my son so he was $16-$25 per day, plus service charge and that was it.. Very good buffet selection. No egg station, but servers would take orders and bring them too you inclusive of the buffet. The hotel is in a great location and walkable into St George's (15 mins). In the evening there's a complimentary shuttle service to take you into town and back for dinner. It runs every 15 mins or so - the driver Ian is fantastic. There's a good selection of dining in St George's and plenty of history during the day. The hotel will happily arrange a taxi for travels to the airport and further afield (cash only.. $25ish to the airport and back / $40 ish to the aquarium). The St Regis sits on the location where the first 150 settlers from the wrecked Sea Venture first setup camp. The hotel should do a little more to recognize this, and their neighbors. Next door is the excellent Fort St Catherine museum (which hotel guests get free entry), also the Achilles restaurant where we had a delicious dinner one night.
